The following hybrid seminar organized by JAMSTEC was held at the Japan Pavilion of COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The speakers discussed emerging science on the controls of greenhouse gases emissions and sinks, and future challenges to achieve the climate mitigation goals, including future climate feedbacks using Earth System Models and multiple types of observations.

The Global Carbon Project science team Dr. Canadell (CSIRO and Executive Director of GCP), Dr. Patra (JAMSTEC and GCP SSC member), and Dr. Ito (NIES and Research Collaborator of GCP Tsukuba Office) gave the lectures at the seminar and joined the discussion.
